Trees grow annual rings (growth rings) in their stems/trunks due to seasonal variations in growth. By counting these rings, you can determine the age of a tree. Each ring represents one year of growth, with lighter wood forming in spring and darker wood in late summer/fall.

Alauddin Khalji (1296-1316) introduced an elaborate market control system including price controls, state granaries, and rationing to ensure stable food supply for his army. Iltutmish and Balban focused on consolidating Turkish rule. Firoze Tughlaq ruled later and had different priorities.

The Lingaraja Temple, dedicated to Shiva, is in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, built in the 11th century. Khajuraho is in Madhya Pradesh. Madurai has the Meenakshi Temple. Mount Abu has Dilwara Jain temples.

The American Civil War began in 1861 when Confederate forces attacked Fort Sumter. 1454 and 456 AD are centuries off. 1995 is in the future and unrelated to this 19th century conflict.

The Hundred Years' War (1337-1453) was between England and France over territorial claims. France vs Spain and Germany vs France were different conflicts. The US didn't exist then.

The Wars of the Roses (1455-1487) were English civil wars between House of Lancaster and House of York. Germany, South Africa, and Spain had different internal conflicts or no such war.

The American Revolutionary War (1775-1783) was fought for independence from Britain. The Civil War was about slavery/unification. War of 1812 and Seven Years' War had different causes.

Francis Scott Key wrote 'The Star-Spangled Banner' during the War of 1812 when he saw the flag still flying over Fort McHenry. The Civil War and American Revolution were different conflicts.

The French Revolution began in 1789 with the storming of the Bastille. 1999, 1956, and 1945 are much later and related to different events (WWII end, etc.)
