Kerala has the world's largest deposits of thorium, found in the monazite sands along its coastline. These beach sands contain significant amounts of thorium-bearing minerals. India holds some of the world's largest thorium reserves, with Kerala's coastal region being the primary source.

Kolkata is situated on the eastern bank of the Hooghly River, which is a distributary of the Ganges. The Hooghly River flows through the city and has been crucial to its development as a major port. Agra is on the Yamuna, Lucknow is inland, and Ahmedabad is on the Sabarmati River.

Gol Gumbaz is located in Bijapur (now Vijayapura), Karnataka, and is the mausoleum of Muhammad Adil Shah. It's famous for having the second largest dome in the world and its unique whispering gallery. Bijapur was the capital of the Adil Shahi dynasty.
