Email uses protocols like SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol), POP3, or IMAP to send and receive messages independently of HTTP. While web-based email services (Gmail, Outlook) use HTTP in their browser interfaces, the underlying email system operates through dedicated mail servers and protocols that don't require web browsers or HTTP.
