Professor Calculus (Professor Tournesol) makes his first appearance in 'Red Rackham's Treasure' (1943), the sequel to 'The Secret of the Unicorn'. He is the inventor who helps search for the sunken treasure. The Calculus Affair (1956) is a later adventure focused on him, but not his first appearance.

Bianca Castafiore, the famous opera singer, is always accompanied by her loyal maid Irma. Irma appears in multiple adventures, particularly in 'The Castafiore Emerald' where she plays a significant role. The other names are fictional or incorrect.

Hergé died in 1983. 'Tintin and the Picaros' (1976) was the last completed Tintin adventure published during his lifetime. 'Explorers on the Moon' was published much earlier (1954), while 'Tintin in America' (1932) and 'The Black Island' (1938) are early works.

In 'Land of Black Gold', Professor Calculus accidentally destroys part of Marlinspike Hall while experimenting with an explosive chemical formula. This adventure features the Thompson and Thomson suffering from hallucinogenic effects. The other adventures listed don't contain this explosion incident.

In 'Flight 714' (1968), most characters including Tintin, Haddock, and Calculus have their memories erased by the aliens. However, Snowy the dog retains his memory and remembers the alien abduction, as indicated by his behavior at the end of the story.

The Thompson and Thomson detectives, introduced in 'Cigars of the Pharaoh' (1934), appear in most Tintin adventures. They are absent from 'Tintin in Tibet' (1960) and 'Flight 714' (1968), making Flight 714 the correct answer. The Broken Ear and King Ottokar's Sceptre are earlier adventures where they do appear.

The cover of 'Land of Black Gold' (originally published 1949-1950, revised 1971) uniquely depicts the antagonist Dr. Müller on the cover. Most Tintin covers show Tintin himself or feature symbolic elements, but Land of Black Gold shows the villain, which is unusual in the series.

Bianca Castafiore makes her first appearance in 'King Ottokar's Sceptre' (1938/1939), where she is briefly shown performing in an opera. The Castafiore Emerald (1963) is a later adventure focused entirely on her, and The Calculus Affair (1956) and Tintin and the Picaros (1976) are much later.

Most Tintin adventures involve international travel. The two exceptions are 'The Castafiore Emerald' (1963), set entirely at Marlinspike Hall, and 'The Secret of the Unicorn' (1943), which is set in Brussels and involves finding treasure at Marlinspike without foreign travel. The Red Sea Sharks, Flight 714, and Destination Moon all involve travel.
