Abscisic acid is a phytohormone which act as plant growth inhibitor. It is used to maintain the dormancy of seed. It inhibits the germination of seeds in adverse condition and ensures seed germination in favourable condition only.

Ethylene is a plant hormone. It is also called as ripening hormone as it is responsible for ripening of fruits.
