Brahmaputra River is called Yarlung Tsangpo in Tibet, China. Brahmaputra river originates from Kailash ranges of the Himalayas at an elevation of about 5150 m and flows for about 2900 km through Tibet.

Indo-Gangetic plains extend between the rivers Ghaggar and Tista River.

Bhabar  is a region south of the Lower Himalayas and the Shiwalik Hills. It is the alluvial apron of sediments washed down from the Siwaliks along the northern edge of the Indo-Gangetic Plain.

Since Rajasthan is a desert area, it will come in Arid category. The word Arid means dry,

• It is the largest and the most important multipurpose project named after the two dams built at Bhakraand Nangal on the Satluj River.
  
• It is a joint venture of the Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan states designed to harness the precious water of the Satluj for the benefit of the concerned states.
  
• The project comprises of (i) two dams at Bhakra and Nangal, (ii) Nangal Hydel Channel, (iii) power houses with a combined installed capacity of 1,204 megawatt (M.W.) (iv) Electric transmission lines and (v) Bhakra canal system for irrigation.
  
• The Bhakra Dam is one of the highest straight gravity dams in the world. It has been constructed on the Satluj at the site of Bhakra gorge near Rupnagar (Ropar). The dam is 226 metre high and 518 metres long with its maximum width at the base as 362 metres.
  
• The dam has created a huge reservoir of water which is 88 km long and 8 km wide with a storage capacity of 986.8 crore cubic metres. 
  
• The Nangal Dam has been constructed at Nangal about 13 km downstream of the Bhakra dam. This 29 metre high, 305 metre long and 121 metre wide is an auxiliary dam which serves as a balancing reservoir for taking up daily fluctuations from the Bhakra Dam.
  

• The Punjab-Haryana Plains owe their origin to the aggradational activity of the Satluj, the Beas and the Ravi rivers. 
  
• They extend for 640 km from north-east to south-west and 300 km from west to east covering an area of about 1.75 lakh sq. km.
  
• The northern part of the region, adjoining the Siwaliks, has witnessed inten­sive erosion through numerous small streams called Chos. 
  

Winter rains in Punjab are primarily caused by Western Disturbances, which are cyclonic storms originating in the Mediterranean region and moving eastward across the Middle East. These systems bring precipitation to Northwest India during the winter months.

Haryana has a high density of cattle relative to its gross cropped area due to its intensive agricultural and dairy farming practices. This is a standard statistic in Indian agricultural geography.
