The pitch of sound produced, speed of the dance and the wagging of tail indicate the distance of source. If during this dance tail wagging is directly vertically upwards it indicates that the source is present towards the sun. If tail wagging is vertically downwards it indicates that the source is present opposite to the sun.

Drones are the male bees of the honey colony. They do not involve in collection of nector and pollen. But plays a contributing role in temperature regulation of the hive. Their main role is to mate with queen during breeding season. 

Bees are the most significant and efficient pollinators for a vast majority of agricultural crops, playing a critical role in global food production.

Keeping beehives in crop fields during flowering period increases pollination efficiency and thus, improves the yield. It is beneficial both from the point of view of increased crop yield and honey yield.

Beeswax is a natural wax produced by honeybees of the genus Apis. The wax is the secretion of of the glands present in the abdominal segments of worker bees which discard it in the hive . Chemically, beeswax consists of mainly esters of fatty acids and various long chain alcohols. It is used in making polishes, candles, as a lubricant , waterproofing agent and also in cosmetics.
