Human Development Index (HDI) takes into consideration various key dimensions with the purpose to reflect the country’s level of development. It takes into account life expectancy at birth and other useful factors to assess the health dimension. Moreover, HDI uses the logarithm of income to serve its purpose. India’s HDI rank in 2010 was 119.
