The continent Europe and Asia are together known as Eurasia. This is the largest landmass on the surface of the earth covering an area of 55,000,000 sq km. It is about of 36.2% of the earth. This two continents together supports 70%of the world population.

North America is the third largest continent in the world. It mainly comprises of Canada, the USA and Mexico. It covers 16.5% of the land area and 4.8% of the surface of the earth. North America is an area of great diversity. Because of its large size and latitudinal extent, North America has a wide range of climate. North America is one of the richest continent, in has various resources in the world.

The world's second-largest ocean is the Atlantic Ocean lies in the West of Africa. It has North and South America in the West and Europe and Africa in the east. It covers an area of 82,000,000 square km, which is 1/6th of the geographical area of the globe and half of the Pacific Ocean. The Atlantic Ocean was formed due to the drifting of North and South Americans to the West due to plate tectonic.

The Isthmus of Panama is the narrow strip of land that lies between the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean, linking North and South America. It contains the country of Panama and the Panama Canal. Like many isthmuses, it is a location of great strategic value.

Antarctica is located in the southernmost part of the world. It covers an area of 14,000,000 square km and is the fifth-largest continent of the world. 98%of the total geographical area is covered by ice which is at least 1.6km thick. 90% of the total ice of the world found here. As the continent is fully covered with ice it is also known as a white continent.

The Mariana Trench or Marianas Trench is located in the western Pacific Ocean about 200 kilometers (124 mi) east of the Mariana Islands. It is the deepest trench in the world. The depth of the Mariana Trench is 10,994 meters below sea level. 

The Challenger Deep in the Mariana Trench is the deepest known point in Earth's oceans. In 2010 the United States Center for Coastal & Ocean Mapping measured the depth of the Challenger Deep at 10,994 meters (36,070 feet) below sea level with an estimated vertical accuracy of ± 40 meters.

The Pacific ocean is the largest ocean of the world having one third of the globe. It extends from the east to west for 16,000 kilometers from the east coast of Asia in the west to the west coast of America in the east and for 14,880 kilometers north to south between Bering Strait in the north to Cape Adre (Antarctica) in the south. Average depth of the ocean is 4,572 meters. The Pacific ocean is more or less uniform broad and extensive sea floor is characterized by several swells, rises, sea mounts and depressions. The ocean has the largest number of islands.

The Atlantic Ocean is the second-largest ocean in the world after the Pacific Ocean. It is located between North and South America in the west and Europe and Africa in the east. It covers an area of 82,000-kilometer square which is one-sixth of the geographical area of the globe and half of the area of the Pacific ocean. The Atlantic Ocean was formed due to the drifting of North and South America to the west due to plate tectonic. The "S" shape of the ocean indicates the fact that landmasses on either side were once a contiguous part.

Mid-Atlantic Ridge is located in Atlantic Ocean. The Mid-Atlantic Ridge representing the zone of divergent or constructive plate margins is the most striking relief feature which having "S" shape extends for 14,450 kilometers from Iceland in the North and to Bouvet Island in the South. The ridge is known as Dolphin Rise to the North and Challenger Rise to the south of the Equator. It is known as Wyville Thompson Ridge between Iceland and Scotland. The ridge becomes quite extensive to the south of Greenland and Iceland and is called Telegraphic Plateu because first cabbles were laid down in this area.
