Eight of the world's ten highest mountains, including Mount Everest (8849m), are located in Nepal. These include Everest, K2, Kangchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Dhaulagiri I, and Manaslu. The Himalayan range spans multiple countries, but the highest concentration is in Nepal. China has some peaks, but Nepal has the majority.
