In a 1998 ODI at Sahiwal, India forfeited against Pakistan when Sarfraz Nawaz bowled multiple bouncers in an over, which India captain Bishan Singh Bedi protested as intimidatory bowling. Allan Donald, Wasim Akram, and Wesley Hall are not associated with this incident.

Geoffrey Boycott faced the first ball in the first-ever One Day International (ODI) cricket match played between England and Australia on January 5, 1971, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Jacques Rudolph scored 222 not out on his Test debut for South Africa against Bangladesh in 2003. This was a remarkable achievement, becoming only the sixth player in history to score a double-century on debut.
