Narendra Hirwani holds India's best match bowling performance in Tests with 16 wickets for 136 runs (8/61 and 8/75) against West Indies in 1988 on debut. This remains the best match analysis by an Indian bowler. Anil Kumble's 10/74 is the best innings performance, but not match performance. Harbhajan Singh and Kapil Dev, while great bowlers, don't hold this specific record.

Muttiah Muralitharan of Sri Lanka holds the record for most wickets in ODI cricket with 534 wickets. Anil Kumble (India) has 337, Chaminda Vaas (Sri Lanka) has 400, and Wasim Akram (Pakistan) has 502 wickets in ODIs.
