$Beetal, Barbari, Jamunapari$ all are Indian breeds of sheep. Beetal are found mainly in the states of Punjab, Barbari is found in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Gurgaon, Karnal, panipat and Rohtak in Haryana state and Jamunapari breeds are found mainly in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

Kanni aadu is the tallest goat breeds found in the Thirunelveli and Ramanadhapuram districts of Tamil Nadu. 

Changthangi goat is known to produce fibre used to prepare pashmina.

Nilgiris in Tamil Nadu possesses the highest percentage of area under forest. It has 8.35% to geographical area according to district-wise forest cover  of Tamil Nadu in 2007.
