Pune Junction railway station uses the station code PUNE, which spells out the city name in four letters rather than the typical three-letter code. PJ, PJN, and PUN are not the correct station codes for Pune Junction.

Tata Nagar railway station uses the station code TATA, which reflects the industrial town's association with the Tata group. TNG, TN, and TNR are not the correct station codes for Tata Nagar.

Peking (now Beijing) housed the Forbidden City, the imperial palace complex during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The Forbidden City was so named because it was off-limits to commoners for nearly 500 years. Lahore, Muzaffarabad, and Srinagar are cities in Pakistan and Jammu & Kashmir but never had this designation.

Central Railway zone headquarters is located in Mumbai (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus). This is one of the 17 railway zones in India.

Thiruvananthapuram (also known as Trivandrum) is the capital of Kerala. Kanyakumari is in Tamil Nadu, Rameshwaram is a temple town in Tamil Nadu, and Madurai is a major Tamil Nadu city. None of these are Kerala capitals.

Panaji (Panjim) is the capital of Goa. 'goa' is the state name, not a city. Madgaon (Margao) and Vasco da Gama are major cities in Goa but not the capital. Panaji has been the capital since Goa's liberation.

Bhubaneswar (also spelled Bhubneshwar) is the capital of Odisha (formerly Orissa). Puri is a temple city, Hyderabad is the capital of Telangana, and Visakhapatnam (vizag) is a major port city in Andhra Pradesh. Bhubaneswar has been the capital since 1948.
