The Bhandup Water Treatment Plant in Mumbai is one of the largest water filtration plants in Asia. It supplies a significant portion of the city's potable water. Thane, Mulund, and Bombay Central do not house the primary filtration facility.

Chandigarh, a planned city designed by Le Corbusier, does not have a Sector 13 due to the superstition that the number 13 is unlucky. This is an interesting exception in the city's otherwise systematic sector numbering. Delhi, Mumbai, and Nagpur all have areas designated as Sector 13 or numbered 13 in various localities. Chandigarh's sector system jumps from Sector 12 to Sector 14.

The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) is located in Pune, Maharashtra, and is the premier institute for film and television education in India. It was established in 1960 and has produced many renowned filmmakers, actors, and technicians. FTII is not in Mumbai (the film industry hub), Delhi, or Ahmedabad. The confusion with Mumbai is common due to Bollywood's presence there.

Shinjuku Station in Tokyo, Japan is widely recognized as the world's busiest railway station by passenger traffic. It handles over 3.5 million passengers daily through its multiple railway and subway lines. The station's enormous footfall comes from being a major commercial district intersection and connecting numerous commuter lines.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) headquarters is situated in Manila, Philippines. Option A (Jakarta) is in Indonesia, option C (Singapore) is an independent city-state, and option D (Bangkok) is in Thailand. Manila has been ADB's headquarters since its establishment in 1966.

Chennai Central station was established in 1863 during British colonial rule as an important railway hub connecting South India. The Madras High Court was established later (1862), while Spencer's Plaza and Marina Beach are much older natural features or commercial developments.

Chennai has had several historical names including Chennapattinam (named after Chennappa Nayaka), Madraspattinam (referring to the fishing village), and Madras (the British anglicized version). All three names refer to the same city at different periods in its history.

The Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. It is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, established in 1982 for wildlife research and training.

India House is located in London, United Kingdom. It serves as the official residence of the Indian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and houses the High Commission of India.

Surat, located in Gujarat, is known as the Diamond Capital of India. The city handles approximately 90% of the world's diamond cutting and polishing industry. Hyderabad is known for pearls and IT, Mumbai for finance and Bollywood, and Kolkata for culture and commerce.

Chandigarh was the first planned city of independent India, designed by Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier in the 1950s after partition. It was created to replace Lahore (which went to Pakistan) as the capital of East Punjab. Unlike Mumbai, Delhi, or Navi Mumbai, Chandigarh was entirely planned from scratch with a grid layout and sectors.

The Victoria Memorial is a magnificent marble building in Kolkata, built in memory of Queen Victoria. It is one of Kolkata's most iconic landmarks and houses a museum showcasing British-era artifacts. Mumbai (Victoria Terminus), New Delhi (India Gate), and Chennai (Fort St. George) have their own British-era landmarks, but the Victoria Memorial is specifically located in Kolkata.
