March 20, 2010 was celebrated and marked as World House Sparrow Day. The marking of the day is an international initiative by the Nature Forever Society, in collaboration with the Bombay Natural History Society, Cornell Lab of Ornithology (U.S.), Eco-Sys Action Foundation (France), Avon Wildlife Trust (U.K.) and numerous other national and international organisations.

Navy Day is celebrated on December 4th in India to commemorate the success of Operation Trident during the 1971 India-Pakistan war. The operation was launched by the Indian Navy on Karachi harbor and was a decisive victory. The other dates are not associated with Navy Day.

 World Environment Day is celebrated on 5th June.
