In J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth legendarium, both Frodo Baggins and Bilbo Baggins are Hobbits. They are not wizards, dwarves, or elves. Hobbits are a race of small, humanoid creatures known for their love of peace and comfort, living in the Shire. This is a fundamental fact about the main characters of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.

In Tolkien's Middle-earth, both Bilbo and Frodo Baggins come from a region called The Shire. It is a peaceful area inhabited mostly by Hobbits. Rivendell is an Elven refuge, Lorien is another Elven realm, and Gondor is a kingdom of Men. The Shire is specifically the home of the Baggins family and many other Hobbits.

In The Lord of the Rings, Strider is the ranger name used by Aragorn, who is the rightful King of Gondor. He keeps his identity secret initially, going by the name Strider to protect himself and his mission. Legolas is an Elf, Elendil was an ancient king, and Boromir was a Steward's son from Gondor.

The password to open the Doors of Durin (Moria's gates) is 'Mellon', meaning 'friend' in Sindarin. The inscription reads 'Speak, friend, and enter'. Gandalf realizes the password is the Elvish word for friend, not a command.

Grima Wormtongue is a character in The Lord of the Rings who served as the treacherous advisor to King Theoden of Rohan. His nickname 'Wormtongue' reflects his manipulative nature and ability to poison minds with words. Smeagol became Gollum, not Wormtongue, and Deagol was Smeagol's relative who found the Ring.

Gwaihir, known as the Windlord, is the Lord of the Eagles in J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth legendarium. He plays crucial roles in both The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, including rescuing Gandalf from imprisonment atop Orthanc. Gleowine was a minstrel of Rohan, Galdor was an Elf of Gondolin, and Glorfindel was a noble Elf who helped Frodo.

The Hogwarts motto 'Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus' translates to 'Never tickle a sleeping dragon' in Latin. This warning emphasizes respect for powerful magical creatures rather than fighting or killing them.
