Vocabulary and Synonyms

Coarse means rough or scratchy. Soft is the opposite.

Clear means distinct or transparent. Opaque means not transparent, which is the opposite.

Collect means to gather or amass. Disperse means to scatter, which is the opposite.

Colossal means giant or huge. Tiny is the opposite.

Companion means a friend or associate. Censure means to express severe disapproval, which is unrelated to the concept of a companion.

Concession means an allowance or rebate. Denial is the act of refusing or rejecting, which is the opposite.

Confess means to admit or avow. Deny is the opposite.

Control means to regulate, limit, or restrict. Jurisdiction is a noun referring to the power or authority to make decisions, not a synonym for the act of controlling.
