Kapil Dev scored his famous 175* (not out) against Zimbabwe in the 1983 World Cup at Tunbridge Wells. This innings is considered one of the greatest in ODI history and rescued India from a precarious position. India went on to win the match and eventually the tournament.

'Poms' is a colloquial term for English people, especially in sporting contexts. The England cricket team is often called 'The Poms' by Australian and other Commonwealth opponents. New Zealand, India, and Sri Lanka are not referred to by this name.
