It was named after former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and serves as the primary international airport for the Hyderabad metropolitan region. Rajahmundry and Visakhapatnam have their own airports with different names.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport is located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. It serves as the primary international airport for Gujarat's largest city and is named after India's first Deputy Prime Minister and independence movement leader. Porbunder, Surat, and Shimla have different airports or no major international airports.

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport is located in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Named after the chief architect of the Indian Constitution, it serves Nagpur city. Mumbai's airport is Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, while Pune and Nasik have their own airports.

Juhu Aerodrome is located in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It's one of the oldest airports in India and was the city's primary airport before Santacruz Airport (now Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport) was built. Juhu Aerodrome now primarily serves as a flying club and training facility.

Gandhinagar Airport refers to the airport serving Nasik (Nashik) in Maharashtra. The confusion in naming likely stems from the Gandhinagar area of Nasik. Pune is served by Lohegaon Airport, Bhubaneswar has Biju Patnaik Airport, and Dimapur has its own airport in Nagaland.

Cochin International Airport in Kochi opened in 1999 as India's first privately-funded international airport, built under a public-private partnership model. Turbofan engines are indeed the most widely used engine type in modern commercial aviation and are also used in many fighter aircraft. Most modern airliners use high-bypass turbofan engines, and many military aircraft also use low-bypass turbofans or afterburning turbofans.

Boeing is primarily an aircraft manufacturer, not an engine manufacturer. The leading manufacturers of aircraft engines are companies like GE Aviation, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce, and CFM International (a joint venture). Boeing designs and assembles complete aircraft but purchases engines from these specialized engine manufacturers.
