Tanguturi Prakasam Panthulu is known as 'Andhra Kesari' (Lion of Andhra) for his role in the freedom struggle and as the first Chief Minister of Andhra state. He was a fearless leader who famously opened fire on British police during the tax revolt in Chirala.
