The Lokmanya Tilak National Award has been awarded to several distinguished individuals. Sheila Dikshit, the former Chief Minister of Delhi (1998-2013), was indeed a recipient of this award for her public service and contributions to governance. The award is given in memory of Bal Gangadhar Tilak.
