The Dutch national anthem 'Wilhelmus' (Wilhelmus van Nassouwe) is widely considered the world's oldest national anthem, with origins dating back to between 1568 and 1572 during the Dutch Revolt against Spanish rule. This predates 'God Save the Queen' (1740s), 'La Marseillaise' (1792), and 'The Star-Spangled Banner' (1814).
