This temple is a temple dedicated to Vayu(wind) who is worshipped in the form of Shiva. This is also the location where the devotee Kanappa offered both his eyes to Shiva to cover the blood flowing from the Linga's eyes. A small clue, the Gopuram in this location collapsed hardly a week back. Name the place.
