The Dayton Agreement was signed in December 1995 and successfully ended the Bosnian War (1992-1995), the most destructive conflict in Europe since World War II. It was negotiated at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, USA, and established the current political structure of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a single state composed of two entities.
