Ratnapriya means "lover of jewels." While Lakshmi (goddess of wealth/auspiciousness) might seem appropriate, in certain regional traditions, particularly in Eastern India, Durga is worshipped as Ratnapriya, bedecked with jewels and ornaments. Saraswati is the goddess of knowledge, Parvati is Shiva's consort, and Rukmini is Krishna's principal wife.
