Angkor Wat in Cambodia is the largest religious temple complex in the world by land area (162.6 hectares). Built in the 12th century as a Hindu temple dedicated to Vishnu, it later transformed into a Buddhist site. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the national symbol of Cambodia.
