Dadabhai Naoroji was elected to the British House of Commons in 1892 from the constituency of Central Finsbury, winning by a mere five votes, and served until 1895. He stood and was elected as a candidate of the Liberal Party — the party of William Gladstone at the time. The 'Liberal Democratic' party/label the DB marks as correct did not exist in 1892; the Liberal Democrats were only formed in 1988 from a merger of the (historic) Liberal Party and the Social Democratic Party, so that option is anachronistic and cannot be the answer. However, none of the four listed options actually reads plain 'Liberal' — the true correct answer (Liberal Party) is simply absent from the answer set, so no single given option can be marked correct; the option list itself needs to be fixed to include 'Liberal'.
