Siraiyil Tavam (Fasting in Prison) was written by C. Rajagopalachari during his imprisonment in 1930-31. Rajaji was a prominent freedom fighter, writer, and later the first Indian Governor General. Sri Prakasa, P. S. Kumaraswamy Raja, and K. Kamaraj were political figures but not authors of this work.
