Statement 1: It is correct. Article 153 of Constitution says that there shall be Governor for each state. 7^th Constitutional Amendment Act, 1956 facilitated the appointment of the same person as a governor for two or more states. Statement 2: It is incorrect. In Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Puducherry and Delhi, administrator is called Lt. Governor, while in Chandigarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Lakshadweep he/she is known as the Administrator.
