Archaeopteryx is the most famous feathered dinosaur, discovered in Germany in 1861. It had both reptilian features (teeth, long bony tail) and bird-like features (feathers, wishbone), providing key evidence for the dinosaur-bird evolutionary connection. Many other feathered dinosaurs have since been found, but Archaeopteryx remains the classic example.
