Multipolar neurons have one axon and two or more dendrites (i.e. more than two processes arise from cell body, hence multipolar). Cells of retina have bipolar neurons with one axon and one dendtrite (i.e. 2 processes in total, hence bipolar). Unipolar neurons have only an axon attached to the cell body and are usually found in the embryonic stage.
