The Akal Takht, one of the five takhts of Sikhism, was built by Guru Hargobind in 1606 and is located in the Harmandir Sahib complex in Amritsar. It serves as the supreme seat of temporal authority of the Khalsa. Chandigarh is a modern city, Bhubaneswar is in Odisha, and Kolkata is in West Bengal.
