Cramming is fundamentally a response to examination pressure and evaluation methods that reward memorization over understanding. To effectively reduce cramming, the entire system of examination and evaluation must be reformed to focus on conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and application rather than recall. Simply changing teaching methods or evaluation approaches without addressing the root cause won't eliminate the incentive to cram.
