In IP (Integrated Planning), the Infoprovider can be: (More than one answer is correct)
-
Infocube
-
DSO
-
Multiprovider
-
Infoset
In SAP BW Integrated Planning, the valid InfoProvider types are InfoCubes (A) and MultiProviders (C) which aggregate data for planning. DSOs (B) and InfoSets (D) are NOT supported as planning providers - DSOs are for data staging and InfoSets for join-based reporting.
Integrated Planning (BI-IP) supports planning on InfoCubes (specifically real-time InfoCubes that allow direct updates) and on MultiProviders that combine such cubes, since these structures can hold and aggregate the planned key figures. A standard DSO and an InfoSet are not valid planning-enabled InfoProviders in IP — DSOs are used for staging/reporting, not for interactive planning input, and InfoSets are just virtual joins for reporting.
