In the Ramayana, Angad (Angathan) was the son of Vali and the nephew of Sugriva. After Sugriva was made king, Angad became a loyal follower of Rama and played a crucial role as the messenger to Ravana in Lanka. Hanuman is the son of Vayu (the wind god), not Vali. Nalan and Neelan are not Vali's sons in the epic.
