Which city was the summer capital of India during British Rule?

Shimla was the summer capital of British India during the British Raj. The British established Shimla as their summer retreat to escape the heat of the Indian plains. It served as the summer capital from 1864 to 1939. The Viceroy and the entire government machinery would move to Shimla every summer. Goa, Gandhinagar (which didn't exist then), and Lahore were not the summer capitals.
