Who is Indias first Woman Grand Master in Chess ?

Koneru Humpy became India's first Woman Grand Master (WGM) in 2002 at age 15. She achieved the norms required for the WGM title, making her the youngest Indian woman to earn this title at that time. S. Vijayalakshmi became India's first WGM but achieved this title slightly after Humpy in the same year (2002), with Humpy being officially recognized as first. Aarthie Ramaswamy and S. Meenakshi are also Indian chess players but did not achieve the WGM title before Humpy. Humpy later became India's first woman to achieve the even higher title of Grandmaster (GM, unrestricted) in 2011.
