A shopkeeper announces a discount scheme as follows: "For every purchase between Rs. 2000 to Rs.5000, get a 15% discount or a ticket that entitles him to get a 7% discount on a future purchase of more than Rs. 5000.” The customer, however, would have the option of redeeming his right to the shopkeeper at 4% of his initial purchase value. (Right refers to the 7% discount ticket). In response to the scheme, 10 people purchased goods worth Rs. 3000 each. Find the maximum possible earnings of the shopkeeper.

Chinchin Hildulkar got an order to manufacturer 320 Cricket bats for Sindian Cricket team. He purchased 18 machines and appointed some expert workers to do the job. However, many didn’t report for duty. As a result, each of those who did, had to make 24 more bats than originally planned by Chinchin Hildulkar, with equal distribution of work. How many workers had been appointed earlier and how many had not reported for work?
