Field hockey is traditionally considered India's national game due to historical Olympic dominance (8 gold medals). However, the Government of India has officially clarified that India has NO designated national game. While hockey is the culturally accepted answer, cricket is actually more popular today. This question reflects traditional convention rather than official policy.
