The Intel 4004, introduced in 1971, was indeed the first commercially available microprocessor. It was a 4-bit CPU designed for a Japanese calculator company, marking the beginning of the microprocessor revolution that would transform computing.

Blue Gene was an IBM system, RoadRunner was also IBM (Los Alamos), and Param is India's indigenous supercomputer. Jaguar was specifically developed by Cray for the National Center for Computational Sciences.
