The computer room at King's College Cambridge (where Turing studied) is named after Alan Turing. This honor recognizes his groundbreaking contributions to computer science and mathematics during his time at the university.

Alan Turing died from cyanide poisoning in 1954. This was ruled as suicide, likely related to his persecution for homosexuality and forced chemical castration by the British government. He died at age 41 after eating an apple laced with cyanide.
