James Gosling is widely recognized as the creator of the Java programming language. He developed Java at Sun Microsystems in the mid-1990s, and it became one of the most widely used programming languages worldwide. Graham Napier is a cricketer, Bjarne Stroustrup created C++, and L. Wright is not associated with programming language development.

Dennis MacAlistaire Ritchie created the C programming language at Bell Labs in the early 1970s. C became one of the most influential programming languages and served as the foundation for many subsequent languages including C++, Java, and Python. Ritchie's work fundamentally shaped modern computing and software development.

Larry Wall created the Perl programming language in 1987. Perl became widely used for text processing, system administration, and web development. James Gosling created Java, Bjarne Stroustrup created C++, and 'Rossum' appears to be a truncated reference to Guido van Rossum (Python).

Craig McClanahan is the creator of Struts (a Java web application framework), and was also involved with JSF (JavaServer Faces) and Tomcat (a Java servlet container). He made significant contributions to Java web development frameworks. Ted Codd is known for relational database theory, and James Eich appears to be a conflation of Brendan Eich (JavaScript creator).

Larry Constantine is credited with inventing Data Flow Diagrams (DFDs), which are graphical representations of information flow in a system. DFDs are fundamental tools in structured systems analysis and design. Larry Page co-founded Google, William Gates is Bill Gates (Microsoft co-founder), and Kevin Pat is not a recognized figure in DFD history.

Guido van Rossum created the Python programming language in the late 1980s, releasing it publicly in 1991. Python emphasizes code readability and has become one of the most popular programming languages worldwide. Van Rossum served as Python's Benevolent Dictator For Life (BDFL) until stepping down in 2018.

Michael 'Monty' Widenius is the co-founder and primary developer of MySQL, along with David Axmark. He is widely recognized as the 'Father of MySQL' for his foundational contributions to the database system.

Edgar F. Codd, known as Ted Codd, invented the relational database model while at IBM in 1970, which became the foundation for SQL and all RDBMS systems. He received the Turing Award for this groundbreaking work.
