Director Shankar started his film career working as an assistant director under Pavithran. He worked on films like 'Vasanthakala Paravai' (1988) and 'Kadhalan' (1994) before making his directorial debut. Pavithran was a Tamil director who gave Shankar his initial training and exposure in the film industry.

Panneer Pushpangal (1983) was indeed the first film where directors Santhanabharathy and P Vasu collaborated. This launched their successful directorial partnership in Tamil cinema. Theertha karaiyinile came later in their careers.

Kannukkul Nilavu (2000) was the last film in the Vijay-Fazil director-actor combination. Fazil directed Vijay in several earlier hits like Kadhalukku Mariyathai. Their partnership ended with this film. Piriyamudan and Nenjinile were other Vijay films from that era.

Uruthimozhi (1989) was the first film combining actor Karthik and director RV Uthayakumar. This launched their successful partnership in Tamil cinema. Ponnumani and Nanthavana Theru were other notable Karthik films, and Kizhakku Vasalile was a different collaboration.

Kurumbu (2003) was Vishnuvardhan's directorial debut, launching his career as a prominent Tamil filmmaker. Arinthum Ariyamalum and Billa were his later, more established works. Karumbu appears to be a misspelling or distractor.
