The 2nd ODI between India and Pakistan at Sialkot during the 1984-85 season was abandoned after news broke of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's assassination on October 31, 1984. India was 210/3 with Vengsarkar on 94* when the match was called off as news of her death spread, causing grief and tension across the nation.
