In deserts, most of the houses are Kutcha houses as Kutcha houses are cooler as compared to Pucca Houses. Secondly, deserts have less rainfall so there is less chance of falling of these houses. Thus, due to climate and materials available there, Kutcha houses are common there.

In the forests, most of the houses are readily available. So most of the houses are built up with wood. Wooden pillars are raised and wooden houses are built on them so that water doesn't enter. In the forests, single room houses are built on the trees for protection from the wild animals. Nowadays, these type of houses are built for enjoyment and are called as tree houses. Another type of houses built for enjoyment are found in the lakes of Kashmir and Kerala. These are called boat houses. They have big, well and furnished rooms. These houses float on the water. Tourists stay in these houses.

The area around the north pole is extremely cold and is covered with snow throughout the year but even then people live there. They are called as Eskimos and type of houses they build are called at Igloos.

Queen bee and male drones are only for reproduction whereas, all the work is done by the worker bees which includes collecting nectar from different flowers, forming wax and making hives, cleaning and protecting the hives from enemies.
