E-commerce or electronic commerce refers to the buying and selling of goods and services over an electronic platform such as intra-nets, extra nets and Internet to conduct a company's business.

E-commerce is the buying and selling of goods and services, or the transmitting of funds or data, over an electronic network, primarily the internet.

ITES refers to information technology enabled services. ITES is a form of outsource services which has involvement of IT in different fields like Finance and Banking, Insurance, telecommunication. It covers the entire area of  operations which exploit information technology for improving efficiency of organisations.

E-business has many advantages as compared to traditional form of business. Unlike traditional business, it offers convenience to both customers and sellers, speed of delivery, provides global reach i.e. anyone can take benefit of e business by ordering items online without wasting their time and money on physical outlets.

Customers avoid online transactions due to the fear of fraud as selling party is sometimes unknown to the customer and payment through credit or debit card can lead to loss to customer. This disadvantage make customers rely more on traditional form of business as compared to online business.

E-commerce does not include interactions among the various departments within the business as in e commerce business, transactions takes place through the internet and it usually does not have any specific geographical location for conducting their business.

Electronic commerce refers to pursuing commerce activities i.e. buying and selling of goods over an electronic network typically,  internet. These business transactions occur either as business to business transactions, business to consumer transactions, consumer to consumer transactions etc.

In e-business, network is more important than net worth as e-business is conducted only with the help of internet and internet can only work properly if network availability is proper in that area and transactions can be carried out easily without any hassle. 

It is true that e-business includes e-commerce. E-business is a much more wider term than e commerce. E-commerce is nothing but buying and selling of goods and services through internet while e-business also focuses on cost savings, on internal processes and maximizing efficiency.

In e-commerce type of business , transactions can be done 24*7 since there is not any store, there is also not an opening  and closing time.E-commerce provides the flexibility of time i.e. one can purchase the product whenever or wherever he wants to.
