Management information system facilitates collection, management and dissemination of information at different levels of management and across different departments of the organization. Management information system is a computer-based information system that provides information and support for effective managerial decision-making. It helps to gather data from multiple online system.It also help to visualize and control the information in an organization.

A network diagram is prepared to show the sequence of activities, the starting point and the termination point of the project. It has beginning and terminal points of the project. Network diagram shows the sequence of activities involved in a project.

PERT requires the preparation of  three time estimates. There are three estimation times involved in PERT: Optimistic Time Estimate , Most Likely Time Estimate and Pessimistic Time Estimate. In PERT, these three estimate times are derived for each activity.

It increases information overload on the managers as only relevant information is provided to them- it is not an advantage of management information system. A group of documents that inform, analyze or recommend is a report. Report can be defined as a formal document which helps to conduct the comprehensive analysis of the organizational activities. For instance, annual report of a company presents a comprehensive analysis on the activities of the company throughout the preceeding year.

When legitimate needs of employee remain unfulfilled then the grievances that arise is called factual. Within which the employee expects the organization to fulfill his aspirations, needs or expectations. 
When these legitimate needs of expectations or aspirations are not fulfilled, the employee will be dissatisfied with the job.Such dissatisfaction is called factual grievance.

In a tall organisational structure which has a narrow span of control, it is not possible to have an effective supervision and control. Communication takes longer than usual which hampers decision making of the company. 

Termination from employment for any of the misconducts mentioned in the industrial Employment Act, 1946 is known as dismissal. If any misconduct about any employee is noticed then his/her employment gets terminated and treated unworthily  for violating the conditions of he working environment.

Deviations are a big hurdle with respect to achievement of goals. If the goal is time centered then it would be difficult to achieve it because of deviations in the work. Hence, it is important to report deviations promptly to the management as it will ensure a good control system.

A good control system should be simple to understand. Any complex set of instructions is not very easy for employees to follow that might result in issues in achieving the goals and objectives of the company.
