Dance Forms

Disco originated in New York City in the early 1970s, emerging from underground clubs and LGBTQ+ venues before spreading globally. Italy (A), Latin America (C), and Brazil (D) contributed to dance music but not disco specifically.

The Cha-cha-cha originated in Latin America, specifically Cuba, in the 1950s, evolving from danzon and mambo traditions. Tasmania (A), Sweden (B), and California (C) are not related to its origins.
