Andy Roberts from the West Indies has the best economy rate in World Cups, conceding very few runs per over in his tournament appearances.

Lasith Malinga took a hat-trick against South Africa in the 2007 World Cup, becoming the first (and only) bowler to achieve this feat in World Cup history. He dismissed Shaun Pollock, Andrew Hall, and Jacques Kallis in four consecutive balls, with the hat-trick completed on the first three balls of the 43rd over. Chaminda Vaas and Brett Lee are excellent fast bowlers but never took a World Cup hat-trick. Glenn McGrath was a great bowler but his World Cup performances didn't include a hat-trick.

Mohammed Kaif holds the record for most catches by a fielder in a single World Cup match, taking 4 catches against Zimbabwe in the 1999 World Cup at Leicester. His exceptional fielding in the outfield demonstrated why he was considered one of India's best fielders. Ricky Ponting, Paul Collingwood, and Jonty Rhodes were all excellent fielders but never matched this specific record in a single World Cup game.

In the 1999 World Cup final, Australia needed just 2 runs to win when Darren Lehmann hit the winning runs off the last ball of the 50th over. This came after a run-out attempt resulted in overthrows. Lehmann was the batsman on strike when Australia secured victory. Michael Bevan and Steve Waugh were also key players but didn't hit the final runs.

Steve Waugh played 5 World Cups, while Mohammad Azharuddin played 3, and Wasim Akram played 5. This makes Miandad the correct answer for 'second in terms of most World Cups played'.
